We had a beautiful sunny day on the 26th. and our Composting Workshop was a great fun day as we collected all elements needed for a great Compost heap from around the farm. We got

fallen leaves from the woods,

manure, hay & wood shavings from the stables

Old chicken manure from the heap

Household waste, cardboard & newspapers from the house. Donal was fabulous as he explained how to make a good Compost heap and then showed us how. Our new compost heap is in the School Garden

We also visited and inspected a plastic Compost Bin that wasn’t working.What a brilliant day!
